The aim of the site is to help to you be more carbon neutral and find solutions that will ultimately be kinder to your wallet!
My name is Sam and I have a passion for making the world a better place to live in. I grew up in a family that was always environmentally focussed, so I am lucky that I have grown up with that awareness in the back of my mind!
Long before our Local Councils started doing recycling back collections, I remember my parents setting up their own paper recycling collection service in our old garage. They would advertise to the local community to come and drop their waste paper with us. It would be stored in the garage until there was a truck full to take away for recycling…and that didn’t take long! Even back in the 80’s people were keen to do more to help the planet, and this has only grown in popularity since then!
The core reason why I am setting up this platform, is that I want to see less C02 pumped into the atmosphere, I want to see cleaner beaches and coastlines, with no plastic pollution, I want to feel like I am doing my bit for the environment and feel empowered to help others to do the same.
I have 2 young boys, and I want them to grow up into a world where we all know that we have a commitment to do more for this beautiful planet, to make it a cleaner, greener and healthier place to live in. With rising sea levels, loss of habitat for many thousands of different species of animal each year, prolonged periods of unusual weather patterns, this will become everyone’s problem and we all have a duty to help out where we can, not only for us in the here and now, but for future generations!
We all have a responsibility to do what we can to help and taking even small steps will help, even if it means using a refillable water bottle, taking shopping bags to the supermarket or looking for local produce when you're at the supermarket. This can all help, however small!
